We stayed recently and loved the lovely room with cozy decor and complimentary gin and tonics. The breakfast atmosphere was charming, though the coffee service could improve. I'd recommend this place for its inviting ambiance.

Cosy base for exploring Grasmere. Lots of options for breakfast in the dining room. Units with a great breakfast. Comfortable area, central location just off the centre, and the bar restaurant. Plus, 10 minutes drive from Wordsworth Trust.

We recently stayed at the tweedies and had a wonderful experience. the staff were warm and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. our room was recently refurbished and had great fittings, though it could have been a bit warmer. we loved the delicious and inventive meals in the restaurant, and breakfast was a highlight, with nothing being too much trouble. the location is fantastic, right in the village, complete with its own grounds and free parking.
N/a 😕.

The food in the pub/restaurant was good, the breakfast very varied and excellent. The hotel itself has nice common areas, seating ... very tasteful and clean.
Unfortunately, we had a very small room with some defects (window despite heat hardly to open, because broken, flushing of the toilet defective), so caution: Better inspect the room carefully before unpacking.

The location, the large garden and the beautiful furniture were top!
There are a few places in the hotel that need renovation. The rooms are great though.

What a wonderful stay! The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful walks, and the service was impressively attentive despite the staff shortages. Our room was fresh and comfortable, and the food was delicious. Relaxing by the fireplace with a drink made it all even better. Highly recommend!

Perfect accommodation, nice apartment, well equipped, great lobby and dining room. We were pleased with the welcome drink at the room. Rich breakfast, any time again
If there were a larger time window for breakfast, the waiting times would be shorter.

A Perfect Business Stay at Tweedies
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tweedies Bar And Lodge in Grasmere during a business trip, chosen by my director, and it exceeded my expectations. I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel welcome. The lodge itself was clean and well-maintained, providing all the necessary facilities for a refreshing stay. One highlight was the hot tub in the Mews courtyard; it was wonderfully relaxing after a long day of meetings. I also appreciated the delicious breakfast, which was the best I’ve ever had while traveling for work. The location is ideal, with beautiful scenery and attractions nearby, making it a great spot to unwind after hours.
Dining room not available.

The Dale Lodge is in an excellent location in the beautiful village of Grasmere. The hotel reception, lounge and restaurant are all very tastefully decorated and welcoming. The room we stayed in was a standard double which was small but pleasant, with a small en-suite, which was very nice. We ate in tweedies bar in the evening which is great for food, or just for a beer, this is a part of the hotel complex. I would happily stay again

Easy to find in a central location. Extensive grounds.
Nobody on duty when we arrived. We could have been anyone and used the hotel facilities. Service in Tweedies was very slow due to the number of folks in the garden!
